Prevelance of Piriformis Syndrome among female Physiotherapy students of Gujranwala, Pakistan, A Cross-Sectional Survey

چکیده

Piriformis syndrome is a neuromuscular disorder that caused when piriformis muscle compresses the sciatic nerve. Its prevalence very high in sedentary population and young people have more risk factors of getting affected with tightness causes later on lower back pain. etiology can be primary or secondary. Primary will anatomical variation secondary due to any other (trauma local ischemia). It common females ratio 3 1. Objectives: To determine among female physical therapy students Gujranwala. Material methods:It was cross-sectional study conducted different physiotherapy institutes Data collected from 195 Convenient sampling technique. The Diagnostic tool used diagnostic criteria. Results: Out 72 (36.9%) had score probability having syndrome. Only (4) 2.1% were unlikely while majority participants 119 (61%) not considered. Conclusion: This concludes Gujranwala low moderate syndrome, increased buttock pain associated prolonged sitting.
